I want you to tell all your friends about me.

Alright so I wasn’t going to post today, because I was told I spend way too much time sitting on my ass playing on the computer and on the blog thing. Ugh, being unemployed sucks. You can apply for so many jobs and get turned down so many times. I digress.

Well, I just couldn’t pass this up to post. As I was running my daily errands, wait I don‘t do that, anywho, I noticed something on the side of a building. It was black and hairy, and I was thinking to myself “Wow that is a mighty big spider they have there. Is that a Halloween prop? Already?”

No my dear lovlery people, it was a bat. A bat had found its way to this building for some rest. Now this building was by mountains, and maybe he got lost, I have no freaking clue. Any way I thought it was awesome, and you can only take so many pictures of a bat that isn’t really doing anything but “hanging out.”

Oh and I have named this bat, Bruce.

~* Bruce, hanging around. Hmmmm he kinda looks like a peeping bat. Haha!*~

Don’t they usually like the darkness during the day? Well I had to find out of course.

Bats that are seen during the day usually have something wrong with them, it has rabies, they are injured in some way, was just excluded from their roost by people or they may be a juvenile.

If Bruce is a juvenile then it isn’t unusual to see them out in the open, because they are learning to fly, eat on their own or just plain lost. I am thinking, the way Bruce’s wing is out, he may have hurt it.

Hmmm I am thinking, maybe this was a “Did you know” topic but oh well, I just had to share it!

By the way, I went back to this building this morning and Bruce was gone. Hopefully he found himself a better place to hang out than this public building.

The original Batman with Michael Keaton, was the best Batman, ever. IMO. I ♥ Michael Keaton.

Oh yeah while looking up bats, look at this kick ass flower.

~*It is called a Black Bat Tacca Chantrieri Devil.*~

i don't know...it's kinda weird to see bruce like that...during the day...hanging around...hmmmmm...hopefully he sobered up and flew away...but i can't help but wonder if he became another critter's snack. ((i'll think GOOD thoughts though))
COOL flower!! THAT looks very halloweenish too!

Sounds to me like that person you're sitting next to is being a jackass again. LOL Anywho, I truly hope Bruce the Bat found greener pastures.

Michael Keaton? No, it was the best film because Tim Burton was at the helm but the best batman has to be Mr Bale, Keaton was the best Bruce Wayne though, Val Kilmer hadn't recovered from playing Jim Morrison so he wasn't great and George Clooney? That one doesn't even require a justifying argument.

Christopher Nolan is probably the best thing to happen to these sort of films for years. The next Superman might actually be worth something if he gives it the same treatment. It would be nice to see some of the lesser known Batman Villains getting a treatment, Poison Ivy deserves better than she got as does the Penguin although DeVito was inspired casting.

I like fims.

The original Batman was Adam West (actually, it was Lewis Wilson, but that's going back a bit far, I think).

:P

I love that you named him Bruce. Great pic!

We had a bat fly into our art class once. This was in the city. The instructor grabbed me and pulled me outside first. I had very long hair and there are all those stories about bats getting tangled in hair. Myth? Maybe you can tell me:)

I wish you the best of luck with your job hunt! It's terrible out there.

I'd like to digress from the comic geekery (though I heartily approve) and draw some attention to Bruce. Aww he is so cute!!!

Gorilla: Boy Wonder huh? But he is not a robin O.o

Laura: I think he found his way back to where ever. I am not sure of any bat predators that could reach up that high to get him.

Sweetie: Oh love, it’s alright, “this too shall pass” I hope that Bruce found a good cave to chill in.

Nicole: Thank you. I have fallen in ♥ with both of them.

Broccoli: Alright so I am a sucker for Michael. Tim Burton however is TOTALLY awesome! I ♥ all of his movies. I am not a fan of Mr. Bale. Val was a wrong decision, and Clooney needs to stick with robbing casinos. We will see what Christopher has for us in the next round. I don’t even want to get started on the Joker debate. I think I will save that for another post.

Jeff: Okay very correct, I didn’t pick the right words :P

Terry: I am glad that he didn’t find his way into your hair! That would have been a story for sure! Thank you, I am trying, not giving up.

Affi’enia: Haha isn’t he though?! Comic geekery = Win!

Thank you all for coming to my blog, following and commenting. This was just at thing I was going to do just for the hell of it, not thinking I would get any kind of reaction. You all rock!

i was wondering how it feels to become a bat, i love high places and i think hanging upside down on top of a building would be hell fun...

Not only did you photograph it, but you named it? I'm laughing so hard right now! I love you!!! You are terrific! Always blogging, even when you aren't!

eemah: Well you have my support on that, no pun intended, but I am not one for heights, so let me know how it goes. =D

Sandra: Aww well thanks! It was funny because the place of business was like, yeah stay away from this part, there is a bat. I practically ran over there and started taking pictures. People were staring, it was great.

Fantastic find. I also sit on my ass waaaay to much for I am too unemployed and finding that no one wants to hire me :-(
Even for min wage jobs I am competing with so many and younger people. It is what it is...but it sucks anyway! Sending luck your way.

Diane-Sage: Thank you so much, and yes you know the feeling. Ugh! It does suck. Luck right back at you too dear. We will prevail!
